The Kingdom of Morocco, situated as it is on the southern Pillar of Hercules in Ceuta or, perhaps, Jbel Moussa just to the west - is a country rich in culture; of some 33 million people, each region having its own clearly-defined personality; a country of beguiling beauty; bridging an amazing variety of traditions, of delicious regional cuisine and enchanting music; of flora and fauna; of dramatic contrast of coasts, mountains, plateaux and desert, from our lowest point at Sebkha Tah to the towering Jbel Toubkal of 4165m. Most are Muslims of Arab, Berber, or mixed Arab-Berber stock. The Babylonian Arabs from the Middle East invaded Morocco in the 7th and 11th centuries and established their culture here, reflected still in our ancient buildings, kasbahs, ksour, riads and caidal tents to be found throughout your journey into our past.
