The Cascades of Imouzzer des Ida Outanane :
Situated in the foothills of the Atlas mountains, Imouzzer des Ida Outanane is an area of outstanding natural beauty, of high peaks, gorges, sheer cllifs and incredible vistas; of flora and fauna and a remarkable oasis of thousands of date palms. Here we also find the bridal Veil, an erstwhile waterfall, although water is now in short supply!! Back to Agadir at the end of the morning.
This can also be done as a day excursion including lunch and a donkey ride to the citadel, an old French Foreign Legion fort with magnificent views.

Taroudant :
Taroudant lies some 90 minutes to the east of Agadir and has played an important role in Morocco’s varied history, being in the 16th century, the capital of the Saadien Dynasty. The town lies on the Souss Plain, overlooked by the Tichka Range of mountains..Taroudant was the starting point for the Gold caravans, therefore, has no ‘European’ feel to it – no wide boulevards, no modern buildings. A small, bustling souk to wander through before a brief stop at the old Sultan’s Palace, now an hotel where we shall stop to relax and enjoy a quiet drink in lush gardens prior to setting off back to Agadir.

Taroudant and Tiout Oasis :
Our tour of Taroudant can be extended to take in the verdant palmeraie and ruined Glaoui kasbah at Tiout. Here we ride donkeys around this tranquil oasis before taking lunch in a traditional restaurant. Once refreshed, we set off back in the late afternoon for Agadir.

Tafrout :
A scenic trip south of great beauty; a day out for all camera enthusiasts and lovers of mountains. Leaving Agadir around 7 in the morning, and climbing some 3500 feet into the astonishing grandeur of the Anti Atlas mountains – we see below us abandoned kasbahs and palmeraies. Optional lunch, with time to explore the town of pink granite rock, giving the impression of growing straight from the slopes. A lunar landscape, hemmed in on all sides by red, boulder–strewn mountains, plantations of almond trees and date palm groves, the scenery is quite awesome. Our return journey takes us through the Tizi Kerdous and on to Tiznit, a pink walled town with its old French Foreign Legion fortress and renowned filigree silver work, and on back to Agadir by the early evening.
